Hope For La Gonâve is excited to launch its annual fundraiser, Tour de La Gonâve!
Follow along (virtually) as our team rides the rugged gravel roads of La Gonâve, Haiti, exploring one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems while raising support for an important mission.
More than just a bike ride, Tour de La Gonâve brings together two passions: cycling and serving others. It’s an opportunity to look beyond the headlines and discover the beauty, resilience, and hope found in the people of Haiti.
Our team created Tour De La Gonâve to support the mission of Hope For La Gonâve (HFL), a nonprofit founded in 2008 by the Baugh family to provide education and economic opportunity on the Haitian island of La Gonâve. The Baugh family’s connection to Haiti began when Ben Baugh’s parents served there as missionaries from 1977–1983, creating a lifelong love for the Haitian people.
Today, HFL employs 68 local Haitians and operates four schools in remote villages, bringing education, hope, and encouragement to the island’s youth despite the ongoing challenges facing the country.
Tour De La Gonâve combines our passion for cycling with a purpose: supporting HFL’s work. All donations made through the TDL website go directly to HFL, helping sustain their mission while giving participants the opportunity to experience the beauty and resilience of La Gonâve through a unique gravel cycling adventure.
