Hope for Lagonâve is excited to announce its annual fundraiser, "Tour de La Gonâve"!

Tag along (virtually) as our team members embark on a journey of exploration, discovery, and hope as they ride their bikes on the gravel roads of one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems, the island of La Gonâve, Haiti

This unique event is the fusion of two passions, cycling and serving others. But it is more than just a bike ride, Tour De La Gonâve is your chance to see beyond the headlines and forever change your perception of Haiti and its people.

As a team focused on helping build emerging brands, we’ve decided to launch a brand of our own that is connected to a non-profit charity Haiti mission our team is passionate about. Our founder Ben Baugh spent his early childhood in Haiti as one of 3 sons, Rob, Matt, and Ben. Their parents, Lee and Barbara were missionaries with WorldTeam from 1977 to 1983. A love and respect for the Haitian people have remained a part of the Baugh family over the last 50+ years, and in 2008, the family formed Hope For La Gonâve, a 501c3 non-profit Christian charity aimed at providing education and economic development on the Haitian island of La Gonâve.

Currently HFL provides jobs to 68 local Haitians who share a similar focus of providing hope through education and encouragement to the youth of La Gonâve.

With the ongoing challenges Haiti faces as a country and many organizations leaving the country due to safety concerns, HFL has remained committed and continues to operate 4 schools in remote villages on the island. They efforts of the local Haitian team has earned HFL trust and respect within the community and our team had a desire to partner with HFL in a meaningful way…

Tour De La Gonâve was created with 2 primary objectives, the first is to provide annual contributions to support the growing needs of HFL operating costs and the second is to share the beauty and resilience of the people with the platform of cycling, a sport enjoyed by our Arkansas based business team. After the first 2 in country “test rides” of the concept in 2025, Tour De Gonâve is carrying out the first ever gravel cycling adventure on the island in February of this year.

All donations made through the TDL website are passed along to HFL to assist and help them focus more time on operating their mission and less time on fundraising. It’s that simple – Enjoy a cycling adventure together with the locals on the beautiful island of La Gonâve and contribute to a worthy cause that delivers hope and encouragement to the people of La Gonâve.

Hope Amidst Hardship

For as long as many of us can remember, violence, political instability, natural disasters, and societal collapse have dominated the headlines to the point where Haiti is now synonymous with chaos and hardship.

However, there is another side of Haiti we rarely get to see. Despite generations of strife and struggle, an enduring spirit of hope holds fast among the Haitian people. A hope that is not just a passive sentiment but a driving force that will someday change the trajectory of an entire nation.

Hope for Lagonâve is dedicated to nurturing this hope by providing education, jobs, food, safe drinking water, medical services, and countless other avenues of support.
